Summary
This is a commercial role focused on selling and scoping paid services around our SaaS platform. You’ll be responsible for growing revenue by identifying opportunities, designing high-value solutions, and closing projects with both new and existing enterprise customers. You’ll need to be consultative, technical enough to write your own specs, and comfortable owning deals end to end.

The Role
You’ll lead the commercial side of our professional services work. This means selling high-value, consultative projects that sit on top of our SaaS platform. These projects help customers get real results, fast.
You’ll work directly with new prospects and major accounts. You’ll scope bespoke solutions, own proposals, and close deals. You’ll be expected to think commercially and technically. You’ll also help shape how services are sold and delivered across the company.
This role suits someone from a consultancy, SME agency, or services-focused SaaS team. You should be used to autonomy, direct client ownership, and building real commercial value.
What You’ll Do
- Identify and convert new service opportunities across enterprise customers
- Run consultative discovery sessions with C-level and operational teams
- Scope projects clearly before pulling in technical teams
- Write concise proposals, statements of work, and commercial models
- Own pricing, negotiation, and contracts
- Build trusted, long-term relationships with key accounts
- Work with Sales, Product, and Customer Success to make sure solutions land
What We’re Looking For
- 5–7 years experience selling or delivering professional services
- Ideally in SaaS, consulting, or a services-led tech environment
- Used to fast-paced, lean teams
- At least 3 years in an SME agency, boutique consultancy, or similar
- Can scope solutions without tech team support
- You write your own specs, assess viability, and speak the customer’s language
- Blend commercial and technical thinking
- You understand the product, the customer, and what success looks like
- Sell through structure, not pressure
- You use frameworks like Solution Selling or Challenger. You solve, not push
- Strong with numbers and risk
- You price smart, think about margin, and know what can go wrong
- Confident with senior stakeholders
- You can hold your own in a boardroom and build trust quickly
- Self-managed and outcome-focused
- You get things done and don’t wait for permission
- Bonus if you know the food or supply chain world
- Sector knowledge helps, but isn’t a deal breaker

Pay and Perks
- Base salary
- £70,000+ depending on experience
- Performance bonus
- OTE of £125,000+ depending on base and sales closed, with uncapped additional commission available for exceeding targets

Location
We’re remote first. If you’re near Derby, UK, you’ll have the option for hybrid work and regular in-person sessions. Regular travel to client sites across the UK (50-70%) and beyond (10%) will be expected.
